Dr. Hashemian Reappointed Vice Chair of ANS Development Committee
President of Analysis and Measurement Services Corporation (AMS), Dr. Hash Hashemian, has been reappointed Vice Chair of the American Nuclear Society (ANS) Development Committee. The Development Committee is responsible for helping the Society’s development program achieve fundraising goals. The specific goals of the committee are as follows:
- Actively cultivate, solicit, and steward a corporate foundation, state, and federal agency, and member donor base
- Review fundraising strategies, revenue goals, and standards of practice
- Foster a culture of philanthropy within ANS leadership, staff, and members
Dr. Hashemian has been the Vice Chair of the ANS Development Committee since 2021. He was sought after for the role because of his experience in fundraising strategies, creative ideas on how to engage the philanthropic community, and his passion for increasing the Society’s success in this area. His main role as Vice Chair is to assist the Chairman in order to increase fundraising support for the Society and to directly help fund several initiatives such as educating the public about nuclear energy and providing classroom resources for educators nationwide.
Dr. Hashemian’s new term as Vice Chair began on May 4th and will continue until June 15, 2023. He is excited to continue serving ANS and the nuclear community in this role. When asked about his reappointment, he said, “It is a great honor for me to continue serving ANS in this important position. I am grateful to the ANS President for giving me this opportunity.”
