AMS President and CEO Dr. H.M. Hashemian Nominated for ANS VP/President-Elect
Dr. H.M. “Hash” Hashemian, President and Chief Executive Officer of Analysis and Measurement Services Corporation (AMS), has been nominated by the American Nuclear Society (ANS) Board of Directors to run for Vice President/President-Elect of ANS for the upcoming 2024 – 2025 term. If elected, Dr. Hashemian would serve as the ANS Vice President for one year, starting after the Annual Meeting in June 2024, and then assume the ANS President position.
Hash has been an ANS member since 1976 and was elevated to the rank of Fellow in 2014. He also received the Presidential Citation Award in 2022. He has been extremely active in the Society throughout his membership, serving on several committees, maintaining division memberships, chairing meetings, and hosting several events. He has served as the Chairman of the ANS Honors and Awards (H&A) Committee since 2019 and recently served as the Vice Chair of the ANS Development Committee. Additionally, the ANS Human Factors, Instrumentation & Control Division (HFICD) established the H.M. Hashemian Mid-Career Award in 2018 in his honor.
For over 45 years, Dr. Hashemian has been serving the global nuclear power and medical isotope industries with the vision of keeping nuclear technology safe, efficient, and reliable. As ANS Vice President/President-Elect, he would continue that mission and work with his brilliant colleagues to help the public recognize the potential for nuclear energy to contribute to the global energy crisis solution, national security, diversity of energy supplies, and more.
