AMS is proud to celebrate its 40th anniversary this July. Dr. Hash Hashemian started Analysis and Measurement Services Corporation 40 years ago on July 18, 1977, as a spin-off from a graduate project with the University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
AMS has a proven reputation among the global nuclear community and has worked in nuclear power plants all over the world. AMS also performs high-level technology research and development projects for a number of national and international organizations and governmental agencies.
The management team of AMS has grown to include a team of operating managers consisting of Greg Morton (Chief Technical Officer), Brent Shumaker (Senior Systems Development Engineer), Chad Kiger (EMC Engineering Manager), and Ryan O’Hagan (Marketing Manager). AMS employs qualified specialists and consultants with degrees in electrical, mechanical, nuclear, chemical, computer, and materials engineering.
Originally, AMS was headquartered in a small building in West Knoxville. The current AMS campus spans over 100,000 square feet of office, laboratory and expansion space. AMS has a team of around 100 highly skilled employees with growth projections of more than 30% over the next few years.
The AMS team is grateful for the success of the last four decades, and is eagerly looking ahead to many more exciting years!
