AMS Attends the 2024 ANS Annual Conference
AMS President Dr. H.M. Hashemian and Applications Engineer Mr. Adam Deatherage attended the 2024 American Nuclear Society (ANS) Annual Conference held in Las Vegas, NV from June 16th to 19th.
As Chair of the ANS Honors and Awards Committee, Dr. Hashemian had the honor of presenting the national awards at the opening plenary. Congratulations to all of the awardees! You can learn more about this year’s award winners in the videos below:
This year, a special recognition was made for Joe Turnage and his tremendous accomplishments for the benefit of the nuclear industry. You can learn more about his incredible career in the appreciation video here:
AMS also presented two papers at this year’s conference:
- Condition-Based Calibration of Pressure Transmitters Implemented at Vogtle Nuclear Station (H.M. Hashemian, G.W. Morton, and B.D. Shumaker)
- Electrical Cable Design and Selection in Advanced Reactor Environments (P.R. Ward, C.R. Ferree, and T.A. Toll)
The end of the 2024 ANS Annual Conference marks the beginning of Dr. H.M. Hashemian’s one-year term as ANS Vice President / President Elect. AMS looks forward to supporting him and seeing what he will accomplish during this next year.
