Employee Spotlight: Trevor Toll- 10 Years
AMS congratulates Trevor Toll as he celebrates his ten-year anniversary with the company!
Trevor is the Lead Engineer of AMS’s Materials Testing Laboratory. He specializes in testing industrial polymeric materials and components including cable insulations. His work at AMS primarily focuses on the development and implementation of condition-based testing technologies to support environmental qualification and cable aging management programs in nuclear power plants.
Trevor was born in Memphis and raised in Collierville, TN. He attended the University of Tennessee, where he met his wife, Sarah. After they both graduated in 2012, the couple moved to Seattle, WA while Trevor completed his master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Washington. In 2014, they decided to move back to Knoxville to be closer to home and Trevor started working at AMS.
Trevor and Sarah have two beautiful children, a six-year-old son named Henry and a three-year-old daughter named Amelia. They also have two pets, a dog named Charlie and a cat named Hook. The family loves to stay active and support the local community. You can catch them cheering on the Vols during football, basketball, and baseball seasons and have probably seen them at a UT basketball game. When they aren’t watching sports, the family enjoys fishing and visiting family in West Tennessee and Arkansas where they may do some duck hunting.
Locally, Trevor also stays involved with UT alumni events, the UT MSE department where he serves on the board of advisors, and technical societies including the Oak Ridge Chapter of the Materials Information Society (ASM International) where he has served as the treasurer for the last seven years.
Trevor has successfully led the AMS Materials Laboratory over the past several years where he has been a key asset in advancing the state-of-the-art through important research and development projects and developing new testing technologies to benefit our customers and the nuclear industry as a whole. Thank you for ten years, Trevor. AMS wouldn’t be what it is today without your leadership, drive, passion, and expertise. Congratulations on this milestone!
