Employee Spotlight: Adam Deatherage - 5 Years
Adam is an applications engineer at AMS and supports company marketing and business development efforts by handling general requests for quotations for all AMS services, making presentations, doing sales calls and follow-ups, and other efforts to stay engaged with our customers. He also supports commercialization planning for our research and development projects, company engagement with the American Nuclear Society, export control, website content, and anything else he can help with.
He was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee and truly considers it his “home sweet home.” After graduating from Tennessee Technological University, he and his wife moved back to Knoxville where he started working for AMS as his first job out of college. Adam says that he “couldn’t have asked for a better first job.”
Adam has been married to his much cooler wife Emily for nearly five years, and they recently adopted a border collie/lab mix named Blanket. Most of their extended family is local to the area, so they get to spend a lot of time celebrating birthdays, holidays, and just spending time together.
In his free time, Adam loves cheering on the Vols, playing as much golf as he can fit in, hanging out with friends and family, enjoying Knoxville’s great food scene, and being involved in his local church.
Over the last five years, Adam has done so much for AMS. He is a great communicator and we are grateful to have him speaking with customers, giving presentations at conferences, and promoting our mission throughout the industry. Thank you for all that you do Adam. Congratulations on this milestone!
