Employee Spotlight: Tammy Cramer

AMS congratulates Tammy Cramer as she celebrates her 5-year anniversary with the company!

Tammy is an accountant at AMS and has several responsibilities such as overseeing the department, managing payroll, 401k, and benefits administration. She also handles invoicing and supports our research and development proposals, invoicing, and reporting.

She was born in Indiana and grew up in Sturgis, Michigan. After college, Tammy moved to Fort Worth, Texas to do AmeriCorps then moved back to Indiana where she met her husband. They then moved to Stockbridge, Georgia for seven years and then moved to the Knoxville area to be closer to her husband’s parents.

Tammy had a few different careers before joining the AMS team. For 10 years she worked in the automotive industry managing client relationships, invoicing, and reporting. Her job was focused on automotive events, sponsorships, and auto shows. Prior to that position she spent 9 years working in the non-profit sector focusing on fundraising, grant writing, and program management.

Family is the most important thing to Tammy. She loves spending time with her amazing husband, David, who she has been married to for 20 years. They also visit Michigan whenever possible to visit Tammy’s sister and her family as well as her dad and his wife.

In their free time, Tammy and her husband love traveling and are big foodies. They usually plan their vacations around food. They are also avid Alabama Crimson Tide Football fans (Roll Tide!), enjoy reading, and love to see any activities that their nieces and nephews participate in.

Tammy has done so much for the company over the past five years. She is always happy to help her fellow employees and is a joy to work with. We appreciate all that you do Tammy, congratulations on this milestone!
