Dr. H.M. Hashemian Interviewed on the Made Right Here Podcast
AMS President, Dr. Hash Hashemian, had the honor of being interviewed on the Made Right Here Podcast earlier this year. Made Right Here is a podcast produced by The IT Company and hosted by Paul Sponcia that features stories of creators, founders, and builders in the East Tennessee area. These conversations highlight their journeys from creating the idea, building their business, and the impact that their creation has on society.
Dr. Hashemian recently had a two-part episode featured on the podcast where he talked about his life growing up in Iran, coming to the United States, starting AMS, and growing it to the business that it is today.
Part 1 of Dr. Hashemian’s conversation focused on his early life and early career. He talked in depth about some of the misconceptions that American’s have about Iran and how great it was to live there when he was growing up. He then went on to discuss his educational background and how AMS started from a project with one of his professors at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He ends this first part of the conversation with an overview of how nuclear energy is generated and some of the misconceptions that the public has about the industry.

In part 2 of the conversation, Dr. Hashemian discussed the work that AMS does for the world-wide nuclear industry in greater detail. He also talked about the mentors he has had over the years, the people who inspire him, and advice that he has for people starting their own businesses.
