AMS Attends the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital Butterfly Run
Several AMS employees and their families attended the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital Butterfly Run on August 6th. This year’s event benefited the Pain and Palliative Care program at Children’s Hospital which helps improve patients’ quality of life during their battle with illness. Participants had the option to choose between 5K, 10K, and the family fun run & walk so walkers and runners of all ages were able to participate.
The AMS group included 10 people who raced in the 5k and 10k categories, and three of them brought home an award in their age groups. We had two people bring home first place awards and one person bring home a third place award.
After the race, Dr. Hashemian hosted a lunch at Oliver Royal Restaurant in Knoxville for about 20 AMS people including their families. We had a great time celebrating the race and supporting a great cause.
If you are interested in participating in the next Butterfly Run, please check out the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital website. The race is in support of a great cause. Every mile completed and dollar raised is beneficial to the children who receive care at the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. We hope to see you on the track next year!
