Employee Spotlight : Wayne Fawver
Wayne is an Electronics Technician who supports the Technical Service Group at AMS. His work for the company is critical because he ensures that all testing equipment is calibrated and available to support plant trips and customer work. You can often find him in the AMS Measurement and Test Equipment laboratory working on equipment calibrations and quality assurance documentation. Wayne also travels to perform testing in nuclear power plants across the U.S. and trains new personnel to support travel needs.
He has lived in Knoxville his entire life and absolutely loves the area. Before joining the AMS team, Wayne had a career of 28 years supervising service departments of office equipment suppliers. While working full time, he made the decision to attend evening classes and received his electronic technical education in 1978 from the former Tennessee Institute of Electronics here in Knoxville.
Wayne and his wife Teresa have been married since 1979 and have one daughter, Jennifer. They are expecting their first grandson in April 2022 and are very excited to become grandparents! He and his family love spending time outside in the fresh air. Wayne particularly enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending peaceful time alone in nature. He is also looking forward to tending to his vegetable garden again once he has more free time. Wayne is also an avid follower of all UT Vols athletics. Wayne says, “Football, track and field, baseball, softball, if the power T logo is there, I will support the team!”
