Employee Spotlight : Nathan Dungan
AMS congratulates Nathan Dungan as he celebrates his 5-year anniversary with the company!
Nathan is an Electrical Engineer at AMS who supports the hardware and cable groups. He works every day to support various projects and testing for the industry. When he is in the office, you can find him working on hardware development for our customers or for our research and development efforts. He has even served as a project manager for a U.S. Department of Energy Small Business Innovation Research Phase I project entitled On-line Cable Condition Monitoring and Aging Management of Nuclear Power Plant Cables and End Devices. In addition to his hard work in the office, Nathan also travels nationwide to perform cable testing in numerous nuclear power plants.
Though he was born in Illinois, Nathan and his family moved to Knoxville when he was six. He has been here ever since and even attended the University of Tennessee where he graduated with a degree in electrical engineering. After graduation, he worked at Emerson Process Management (formerly CSI) as a hardware engineer for ten years before joining the AMS team.
Nathan and his wife have been happily married for 15 years. They have two sons, Andrew (13) and Aaron (8), who are heavily involved in their schools and communities. The family spends most of their free time at the kids’ various games, practices, and activities. They also enjoy traveling, camping, hiking, cheering on the Vols and Titans (even when it isn’t easy to do so) and volunteering in their church and community.
When asked about his time at AMS, Nathan said, “Not to get all sentimental, but I definitely enjoy the work that I get to do at AMS and the people that I get to work with.”
Nathan is great at what he does, and his skill and passion shine through in the work that he performs. Congratulations on this milestone, Nathan! We appreciate all that you do for AMS and our customers.
