AMS Receives U.S. Patent for its Technology to Verify Proper Operation of Control and Shutdown Systems of Nuclear Power Plants
The U.S. Patent No. 11,031,143 entitled “Systems and Methods of Monitoring Control Rods of Nuclear Power Plants” was awarded to Analysis and Measurement Services Corporation (AMS) in Summer of 2021 for new technology that is critical to safe and efficient operation of nuclear power plants. This is the 21st patent that AMS has received over the life of the company with the first one awarded in 1981. “These patents have been for new technology to verify the performance of reactor control and safety systems,” said Dr. H.M. Hashemian, President and CEO of AMS. This most recent patent names three AMS engineers as co authors: Dr. Hash Hashemian, Mr. Greg Morton, and Mr. Brent Shumaker.
