Employee Spotlight: Chad Kiger
AMS is very proud to announce the 15-year anniversary of AMS EMC Engineering Manager Chad J. Kiger, Ph.D., P.E. Dr. Kiger is responsible for overseeing the development of EMC and cable testing capabilities, as well as identifying and procuring the test equipment necessary to perform all facets of EMC and electromagnetic interference (EMI) testing. Dr. Kiger has also been involved in numerous industry conferences, serving in various capacities from technical session chair to main presenter. He is a Fellow of the International Society of Automation (ISA) and an executive committee member of ISA POWID. In addition, he is also a member of the American Nuclear Society (ANS).
Prior to joining AMS in 2006, Dr. Kiger performed his graduate work at the University of Tennessee–Knoxville, Wireless Communications Research Group (WCRG) and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).
Born in Michigan, Dr. Kiger came to East Tennessee to attend the University of Tennessee and stayed after graduation. He has four kids: Makenzie, Olivia, Graham and Nolan. He enjoys traveling to new places and taking part in extraordinary experiences such as scuba diving, skydiving in Hawaii or climbing his first 14’ner in Colorado.
