AMS congratulates KEITH RYAN for reaching his 5-year milestone with AMS! Keith joined AMS in 2014 and is a Senior Hardware Engineer with the company. In this role, Keith performs enhancements, diagnostics, and repairs on AMS proprietary equipment, as well as supervises the development of all new hardware systems. Keith currently serves as Project Manager for an EPRI R&D project to develop an EMI/RFI troubleshooting guide for the nuclear industry and contributes to several other ongoing AMS R&D projects. Keith also works alongside the AMS Cable Services Group with onsite testing and troubleshooting of critical cable circuits in nuclear power plants.
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Keith has a B.S.E.E. from the University of Central Florida (UCF). Before coming to AMS, Keith worked in many interesting research and engineering roles. In one of his prior positions, he supported the NASA space shuttle project, working on the electrical power distribution for the shuttle. Keith participated in several space launches with NASA and met many astronauts, including Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon! After leaving NASA, Keith relocated to East Tennessee where he worked on the Advanced Centrifuge Project at USEC in Oak Ridge.
Outside of work, Keith and Cindy, his wife of 22 years, love trying out new local brewpubs and restaurants. They have a 14-year-old Eclectus parrot named Basil. Thank you, Keith, for all your contributions over the last 5 years! We look forward to many more.
