In response to the growing worldwide demand for AMS products and services, the award-winning technology consulting firm Analysis and Measurement Services Corporation (AMS) is breaking ground on another major expansion to its main technology campus headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee. This $5 million testing and research and development (R&D) facility will add 13,000 square feet of new office and laboratory space, including housing a $1 million electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) chamber.
“We are extremely excited about these new changes,” said AMS president and owner Dr. Hash Hashemian. “This expansion of our EMC and cable testing services allows us to support the sustained growth of the existing U.S. fleet of 100 reactors. In doing so, AMS has positioned itself as a global market leader in nuclear I&C testing.”
Since the beginning of the year, AMS has hired 10 new engineers and support personnel to add to its fast-growing workforce. AMS’ first major expansion was completed in 2012 with the construction of a 12,000-square foot office and laboratory structure that currently houses a state-of-the-art electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) laboratory, as well as the company’s cable testing and software development departments. This new expansion will result in the employment of 40 new engineers and support staff over the next three years, allowing AMS to provide considerably more EMC, cable testing, software development, and technical services to its client base.
