Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs and several members of his staff visited Analysis and Measurement Services Corporation (AMS) last month. Mayor Jacobs was given a tour of the company’s modern, state-of-the art laboratory testing and research and development (R&D) facilities. Said AMS CEO and President Dr. Hash Hashemian: “It was a wonderful honor to have Mayor Jacobs at AMS. He is a good friend and a great mayor for Knox County.”
Several AMS lead engineers demonstrated the company’s condition monitoring technologies. Mayor Jacobs was briefed on ongoing AMS research projects to support nuclear energy facilities around the world. In particular, Mayor Jacobs was also given an overview of the company’s Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) laboratory, which includes three anechoic chambers that are used to support digital upgrades in nuclear facilities.
